The Friday Feels Sessions
Every Friday throughout the Biennale festival the Marina Café & Bar will be featuring live acoustic music between 4pm and 6pm. Sessions and artists line up will be featured here on our website and will be weather dependent. Also stay in touch on our Facebook Page.

Friday Feels – Meet the Artists
Former Voice contestant Emad Younan is a solo guitarist and singer/songwriter who has been performing in Sydney since 2002. Well known in Sydney for his tribute shows and performances for his late brother Jesse Younan, Emad is a soulful and inspiring performer.
Regularly found captivating crowds at The Annandale Hotel, The Lansdowne Hotel, The Gaelic Club, Sappho Books and Mr Falcons. Emad brings his unique folk style to his large collection of cover songs, taking each song to a new place. One of Sydney’s best kept secrets!
Adrian Joseph is a singer and guitar player with an extensive repertoire that includes pop, rock and RnB and spans over 6 decades.
For years, Adrian has been entertaining crowds at pubs, clubs and bars with everything from laid back ambient tunes right up to high energy singing along classics which are sure to get the dance floor going.
Canadian Solo Musician, Currently Living in Sydney Australia
Bel Woods has been a professional cover and original artist for many years performing hits from the 50’s to current mainstream. Bel covers classic artists such as The Beatles, The Drifters, The Everly Brothers, The Divinyls, Paul Kelly, Diesel, Madonna, Prince, David Bowie, and modern contemporaries such as Green Day, The Black Keys, Lady Gaga and many more.
Michael Kopp vacillates between two facets of musicality; A self-produced, multi instrumental songwriter, drawing from classical & jazz trainings to create smooth grooves, storytelling lyricism and silky harmony. On the other end of the musical spectrum Michael is a seasoned cover professional with over 5 years of experience put into each show.
Antoine is a singer / guitarist who’s influences include Dire Straits, Ben Harper & Eric Clapton. He’s a talented & interactive performer whose even been known to play the trombone on occasion too.
He has accumulated a huge repertoire from years of experience playing many different venues and styles of music across Australia and Europe.
Antoine began his solo career in the 90’s, playing in pubs and clubs across Sydney. He then spent some time entertaining in the snowfields in Europe, Tignes, Val d’Isère, Chamonix-Mont-Blanc, as well as weddings and private functions.
He is also an accomplished songwriter published by the ABC. You might come across a few of his songs listening to The Hooley Dooleys, a group that performed all over Australia for many years.
Jenny Marie Lang
Singer/Instrumentalist/Songwriter Jenny Marie Lang has captivated audiences with her soulful voice and sensual presence, having made a name for herself on the blues & roots around the country. Jenny Marie Lang is “one of the hottest female blues voices”. – The Drum Media Australia’s leading music street press. But it’s not only her unaffected vocal style alone which has grabbed the attention of audiences but her amazing command of so many instruments that sets her apart from the rest. Whether it’s the no holds barred attitude on electric slide or the subtle finger picking on her grandmother’s 1930’s Victor Cadet, JML’s unique sound resonates with her listeners. Jenny has supported & performed alongside the cream of Australia’s live performers including The Whitlams, Paul Mac, Diesel , Wendy Matthews, Richard Clapton, The Mighty Reapers, Bill Chambers, the incredible Ray Beadle, Cold Chisel’s Steve Prestwich, and the amazing Jeff Lang.
Singer, songwriter and guitarist from Love Child and Weekend Detention; Dennis Val is one of the hardest working soloists and duo partners in Sydney, renowned for his ability to keep patrons in the room. He reads audiences like a book and serves up Classic, Blues, Aussie and Contemporary rock songs with his unique gravelly male vocal and larger than life personality – in acoustic and electric format – depending on the needs of the venue. Despite (or because of) his 35 year dedication to his guitar and song writing, Dennis lives and breathes music and walks through life with a giant smile on his face.
His extensive repertoire list includes songs from song writing and guitar masters such as George Harrison, Neil Young, Creedence, Van Morrison, Peter Frampton, Bob Dylan, Bob Seger, John Cougar Mellencamp, Bad Company, The Rolling Stones, Jeff Beck, The Beatles, Cat Stevens, Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, and many of his own creations.
As a guitarist/singer/songwriter and a session player in Sydney, Dennis has performed with many bands; Matt Finish, Dave Faulkner (Hoodoo Gurus) and in numerous bands has supported acts such as; Dragon, Choir Boys, Ted Mulry, Russel Morris, Paul Kelly, Kevin Borich and Kate Cebrano. He has toured Australia and Asia.
Based in Sydney, Dax Golding is a versatile solo acoustic guitarist and singer earning him a reputation as one of Sydney’s finest and most textual solo acts on the circuit. His trademark blending of upbeat acoustic soul, hip hop, light beats and smooth vocals make him a stand out on the Sydney Live Music circuit.
Charlotte Rose is a young Northern Beaches-based musician with a big heart. With “a guitar that speaks” and a compelling, emotional presence, she tells stories; traversing the sounds of Folk, Indie, Blues and Pop in her originals and covers.
From Folk Festivals at the far corners of NSW to back-alley pubs in Sydney to busking on the streets – Charlotte’s versatile voice never fails to draw a crowd.
